A LIST IS PEOPLE, NOT NUMBERS
First of all, think of a list as people, not numbers.
Some marketers have not yet made this mental shift. They think of their list as a number. They write an email, send it out and expect money to come in, but they forget that there are real people on the other end.
Shaqir Hussyin has unconsciously had this mindset from the beginning. In 2009, he only had 550 people on his list, and he had made $60,000 from selling them high-end expensive products. He attracted serious minded customers and treated them with respect.
At the same time, he met a marketer who had 60,000 people on his list and was not even making $60,000 a month.
He quickly realized his advantage. He was thinking of his list as real people, while the other marketer only saw a number that determined how much money he would make.
TO MAKE MORE MONEY, SERVE MORE SOLUTIONS
Instead of just growing your list to make more money, think about how you can serve the people on your list with solutions that will help them.
Every person on your list is a real human being. They have hopes, fears and ambitions. They are more than just an average customer value.
