There are seven areas or values in life: financial, physical, social, mental, familial, vocational and spiritual.
Each person prioritizes each area or value in a different order, and each person views the world through a different lens because of their hierarchy of priorities.
A lot of us say that we want to be financially wealthy, but not all of us place a high priority on that value. If not, it’s unlikely that you will become wealthy in your financial life.
In this video, filmed at the Platinum Mastermind in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Paul O’Mahony talks more about the hierarchy of values.
EVERYONE IS WEALTHY, BUT…
Every person is already massively wealthy in at least one of the seven areas.
Wealth is not just about finances. You can be wealthy in your health, in your family life, in your social life or in your spiritual life.
The area you are wealthy in is the area where you spend most of your time, energy, effort and money. Until you understand this, you won’t fully understand your financial situation.
For example, someone whose highest priority is spiritual might look at financially wealthy people and view them as greedy. This is because most of their time, energy, effort and money goes towards spiritual pursuits. Perhaps most of their own money goes towards donating to the poor.
If you are not financially weatlhy, it’s because finances are not at the top of your values system.
WHAT DO YOU PUT YOUR TIME, ENERGY, EFFORT AND MONEY INTO?
When Donald Trump has held events with 2,000 to 3,000 people in the room, he has often asked the audience members to stand up if they are a millionaire.
About 1% of the room would stand up.
Then, he has asked each of those people to stay standing if they spend 3 to 4 hours a day learning about wealth management and investment opportunities.
Just about all of them stay standing. Is it any surprise?
You put the bulk of your time, energy, effort and money into whichever area of life you value and prioritize the most. Those who have the most successful businesses and investments are those who place finances as one of their top priorities.
If you want that to be you, move your financial life higher in your hierarchy of values.
