Any form of marketing – videos, emails, webinars or anything else – is more powerful when done on a daily basis.
When you market daily, you strengthen the relationship with your audience. You build momentum that you would otherwise lose for every day that you miss.
To scale your business fast, you must get into the mindset that marketing is a daily activity – not a weekly or monthly one.
In this video, I give you some tips to get into the habit of marketing daily.
START A DAILY VIDEO SERIES
In 2015, I started a daily video series called Ask Matt Lloyd.
When I started this series, I announced that I’d be sending out one video every day. I themed these videos around a particular topic, which was answering business questions from my audience.
You may decide to start a daily video series, or it might be some other kind of daily marketing. It could be daily emails, daily webinars, a daily podcast, daily livestreams, daily live events or anything else that you can think of.
Then, give it a theme. It could be questions from your audience, it could be mindset tips, or it could be strategies and actionable information.
Be warned though. Once you commit to a daily activity, it’s going to be a challenge to not miss a day. You’re going to face your own excuses and procrastination.
YOU MAY NEED TO “BOX YOURSELF IN”
Getting an activity done on a daily basis without fail is all about creating structure where we can’t let our excuses and self-sabotaging talk get in the way of our results.
In other words, it’s about “boxing yourself in” so that you can’t escape from that structure.
Think about it this way. If I challenged you to host a webinar every night for the next year, you’d probably miss a few nights. But if I promised to pay you $50,000 for not missing any night, and I required you to pay me $50,000 for every night you do miss, your behavior would be different.
Especially if we had our lawyers draft up a contract, do you think you’d follow through on hosting a webinar every night?
Of course you would. Not only would you be fined for inaction, but you’d also have enormous benefits. You’d build your business and also get an extra $50,000. The consequences of inaction would outweigh your excuses.
Of course, I’m not going to agree to an arrangement like this. It’s no one’s responsibility to hold you accountable. You need to create some sort of structure that nearly forces you to get your marketing activities done on a daily basis.
