They never learn how to target their ideal customer and market to them.
They never learn how to outsource low-level work and focus on income-producing activities.
They never learn how to create systems that lead to growth.
They may excel at the technical aspect of their business (fixing cars, baking pies, planning weddings, etc) but they never learn how to RUN their business.
As a result, they fail.
And if you ignore this, then chances are you will fail like the majority of small businesses.
Or … you can get a proper business education and increase the odds of your success by leaps and bounds.
The choice should be obvious.
However, deciding to get an education raises a whole new set of questions:
- Who can I trust to teach me?
- Should I take classes at a “traditional” university?
- Can I afford it?
- Where will I find the time?
These are all valid questions.
In fact, I asked myself these same questions before I launched my first business.
It was my search for the answers that eventually led to the creation of MOBE–my international training company for small business owners and entrepreneurs.
MOBE stands for My Own Business Education, and it’s an alternative to a traditional (over-priced) university education.
Everything you learn in MOBE is from real-world experience (not textbooks), taught by successful business owners and entrepreneurs (not stuffy professors).
I’ll go into more detail on the MOBE Core Curriculum in a minute, but first I want to explain why this New Business Education Model is better than past models.
